Goa Rolls Out Two New Policies To Boost Its Tourism Sector While Generating Employment For Its Local People

A move mainly aimed at uplifting the tourism sector of Goa has rolled out two new policies. They are – “the Homestay Bed and Breakfast Policy” and “the Caravan Tourism Policy”. A lot of the tourists are always keen on staying in rural areas to partake in responsible tourism. 

According to the newly introduced policies, the first 100 homestays that enroll are going to get a grant of 2L. The paid grant is going to be upto 20L for the people who enroll their caravan infra. 

The Tourism Minister of Goa, Rohan Khaunte, has announced that:

The initial 100 Bed & Breakfast establishments that have successfully completed one year of operation and registered with the tourism department will also qualify for a reimbursement of the INR 1,000 registration fee during the policy’s inaugural year

The created policies aim to upskill the local people and generate employment for them. The platform also actively encourages the women to partake in this policy as well.
